The Union has revealed the new identity and advertising for the Seychelles, following its appointment to the account in February 2006.

As well as creating the new identity, the agency was also briefed to ensure that the process involved everyone in the tourism trade based in The Seychelles. In order to do this, the agency ran a series of brand workshops throughout 2006, culminating in presentations to the local trade and tour operators.

One of The Union’s key recommendations was to rename the brand from ‘Seychelles’ to ‘The Seychelles Islands’, which was a controversial move among the residents of the islands.

The Union’s Lucas Wild, who led the project, said: “It’s not often one gets an opportunity to rebrand a country. This project has been an amazing journey.”
