Avian has been appointed by Highlands and Islands Enterprise to redevelop its visual identity.

The Dundee-based agency has been tasked with refining the existing corporate logo and the suite of the client’s existing local enterprise company logos.

Ken Porter, senior marketing communications executive for Highlands and Islands Enterprise, said: “The organisation does a lot more than provide support for businesses in the Highlands and Islands and we felt that it was important that we refine the brand at this time to make it more inclusive and open it up to the wider more diverse stakeholders who now require our services.”

Avian has also hired Andrea Morris as digital producer.

Morris joins from MediaCom London where she spent five years working on brand and media strategies for clients.

Morris commented: “This is a step change for me but I know that my client service experience is vital to the role. I’m looking forward to the challenge of delivering the host of digital projects that Avian has line up for 2007.”
