Palmer Hargreaves Wallis Tomlinson has won a place on the roster of Berghaus, the outdoor clothing and footwear specialist.

The Leamington Spa-based agency has been charged with creating a new brand for a line of clothing which the company plans to launch next year.

PHWT will create a name and identity, and develop in-store point-of-sale, packaging and on-clothing branding.

Berghaus took its brand into cinemas last year, acknowledging that it planned to align its clothing more closely with mainstream fashion.

PHWT director Mick Stoves said: “The challenge was to create a name and an

all-round ‘brand story’ for consumers and trade alike. It’s a fantastic opportunity to work with a world-renowned brand and one we’re extremely excited about.”

The agency has also won a direct marketing project for The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, which owns a number of Shakespeare-related properties in Stratford-upon-Avon.

PHWT will rebrand the trust and will work on its brochures, direct mail and local advertising for the five houses it owns.

The trust aims to lure 50,000 extra visitors to the attraction.
