Glasgow-based Freight has designed the graphics for a new Glasgow City Council advertising campaign promoting its vehicle emissions testing unit.

The £100,000 four-week ‘exhausted all the excuses’ and ‘it’s time for a breather’ campaign was conducted by the council’s in-house marketing team.

It will include TV ads which were created by STV, radio ads created by Radio Clyde and press advertising.

Leaflets will also be handed out to motorists pulled up by the unit for a roadside check or who are approached when their vehicles are spotted parked with the engine still running.

Offenders will be warned of the environmental damage they are causing and could be fined.

The council’s assistant director of environmental services Tommy McDonald said: “The council will do what it can to improve air quality, but we need every driver to care enough to ensure their vehicle doesn’t pollute our city’s air.”
