The Scottish Marketing Communications Action Group (SMCAG) is to create a database of industry excellence ahead of a new marketing campaign later this year.

The campaign will encourage the government to support all sectors of the marketing industry, and the SMCAG is calling on all members of the industry to help by nominating examples of excellence.

Mark Gorman, who steers SMCAG, said: “As an industry, we have created a body of world-class work, but gathering it together and collating it in such a way that we can demonstrate this is something that has never been attempted in the past.”

Nominations are sought from anyone in advertising, PR, digital communications, design, direct marketing, publishing, broadcasting, research, marketing, marketing consultancy and photography.
