Newcastle-based SUMO has picked up three museum and heritage accounts in as many weeks.

The agency has been appointed to develop a regional marketing campaign to promote the 93 museums found in northeast England. The activity is expected to include press and outdoor advertising, a printed regional museum guide and a website to link them together.

As well as promoting museums across the northeast, SUMO has also been commissioned by the Newcastle science centre Life to help it develop more than 120 new interpretive display panels. The project is part of the £4.5million redevelopment of the venue.

The third win comes from Shetland Museum and Archives, which has appointed the agency to handle the design of 38 \'interpretive panels\' which will be positioned at important historic sites across the islands to inform visitors about the rich history of Shetland.
