Reading Room has created a new website for the Youth Hostel Association aimed at attracting holidaymakers to use its hostels.

The website, which went live last week, gives users the chance to browse through more than 200 youth hostels offering budget accommodation across England and Wales.

The Manchester-based agency designed the site to ensure that visitor feedback was taken into account to attract new users while maintaining its existing visitor base. Visitors can also tailor their experience at the hostels.

Reading Room has also been tasked with devising an online marketing programme to promote the hostels.

Margaret Manning, CEO of Reading Room, said: “YHA requires a highly complex transactional site which delivers targeted and personalised content and is fully integrated with back-end systems. We are working on an online communications strategy and advising how technology can support this strategy.”
