Sumo has developed a branding campaign for Climate Dome, a new public education project launched in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

The dome is an inflatable temporary structure which acts as a theatre platform to communicate that climate change is a real threat. It will exhibit across the north east for 15 months in shopping centres, sports and music events, schools, colleges and fairs.

Climate change will be explained through interactive exhibits, displays and animations, backed up by a film developed with the BBC, a website and an online game. The executions include distinctive illustrations created by the Newcastle agency.

The Climate Dome has been developed as part of Defra’s Tomorrow’s Climate, Today’s Challenge programme, and is supported by Scottish Power and other organisations. It is expected to attract more than 100,000 people.
