Oceanic Consulting, the Glasgow-based company which specialises in targeting the black and ethnic minority sector, has won the contract to market the Scottish Asian Business Awards 2006, organised by Eastern Eye Scotland.

This is the first time that the high-profile event – last held at the Grosvenor Hotel, Park Lane – has come to Scotland.

The event aims to highlight the contribution of Asian businesses to Scotland and celebrate their achievements.

Eastern Eye’s gala dinners in London have been attended by some of the biggest names in business, politics, entertainment and royalty, with the Prince of Wales, The Princess Royal, Prime Minister Tony Blair and Cherie Booth QC.

The pitch for the marketing task attracted a wide range of interest from companies within Scotland.
