John Denholm, founder of The Leith Agency, has appointed a senior consultant from Hudson for the expansion into sales recruitment of the recruitment company, Denholm Associates. Denholm has appointed Jacqueline Frost to head up a new division focusing on the financial sales and consumer goods sector. Denholm left Leith last year to take a strategic role at Denholm Associates, which is run by his wife.

Neil Fitzgerald, freelance business journalist and former editor of CA Magazine is to become editor of Deutsche Bank UK’s internal magazine. Fitzgerald will resign from communications consultancy The Very People – which he was a founder of in July – to take up the role.

SMG is facing pressure from shareholders to reach an agreement with UTV.

It is reported that shareholders for the Scottish company are becoming increasingly frustrated at the lack of progress in a deal emerging between the two and are likely to pile the pressure on chairman Chris Masters.

Kwik Fit has reorganised its marketing team after the departure of marketing director Douglas McKenzie after 12 years with the company, Chris Bosworth, business development director for Kwik Fit, will take over from McKenzie.
