The Robert Horne Group has appointed Thompson to create a new brand and visual identity for its back selling function and to help position the company as the leading merchant for specified stocks in the UK.

The paper manufacturer is seeking to establish a new Design Support Team name and positioning and clarify its offering to influential design/specification audiences.

Thompson was approached on the back of a speech given by Ian Thompson and Phil Dean (creative director and managing director, respectively) at The Robert Horne North of England Design Lunch in 2005. The team later took part in a three-way strategic pitch, resulting in the appointment.

The key aim of the project is to raise the profile of Robert Horne and its creative range of products with key design and specifier audiences. The firm hopes this will, in turn, lead to increased sales across the whole range of paper and plastics.
