The BIG Partnership has been appointed to implement a PR campaign for Aberdeen City & Shire on behalf of Aberdeen City & Shire Economic Forum (ACSEF).

The forum - formerly the North East of Scotland Economic Forum - has hired the agency to help roll-out the new regional branding which was launched last year.

It has also signed up Eastern Airways to become the first airline to support the regional brand indentity. Eastern is to launch a new liveried aircraft, which will operate out of Aberdeen Airport.

Under the identity of Aberdeen City and Shire - A Brighter Outlook, the new brand will position the region as a fertile, dynamic and attractive place in which to live, do business and visit.

A major launch of the brand to businesses is planned.

A total of £150,000 has already been spent on the research, development and roll-out. Further investment is planned.
