Third Eye Design has appointed a creative director to work in its New York studio.

Alexia Cox joins the Third Eye Design team after seven years at London-based Michael Nash Associates.

As senior designer for Michael Nash, Cox brings with her experience of the fashion, music, food and publishing sectors.

In her previous role she worked on a variety of major projects, including work for Superfine Jeans, Hennes, Face Boutique, Refinery and Space NK.

The appointment of Cox sees current Third Eye Design creative director Kenny Allan move to the role of group creative director, where he will continue to be based in Third Eye’s Glasgow studio.

Commenting on the appointment, Allan said: “Alexia is of an extremely high calibre for someone so young. She will have a positive influence on our whole creative team and her experience will be invaluable in helping us to target specific sectors in the US.”

Based in Manhattan’s Chelsea district, Third Eye Design New York will officially launch this month. Already the company has picked up some major work, which includes a series of branding projects for The New York Festivals.
