Asthma launches awareness push
Asthma UK has launched a new, ‘Deadly Serious’ campaign, with a 40-second television spot, highlighting that asthma is serious and that underestimating the condition could be a fatal mistake.
Despite having the highest rate of Asthma in the UK, Scots have been identified as the most ignorant of the condition with only 38 percent of people in Scotland knowing what to do if someone was having an attack.
Asthma UK wants people to be more aware about asthma and not take it for granted.
Elaine Carnegie of Asthma UK Scotland said: “Our Deadly Serious campaign aims to raise awareness of the seriousness of asthma and prevent needless deaths.”
