Sterling Furniture has appointed Trimedia to handle its PR and media relations for the run-up to Christmas.

The agency was appointed after being referred by Sterling ad agency The Union. Trimedia was then invited to pitch for the business.

Graeme Jack, managing director of UK regions at Trimedia, said: “Sterling caps a fantastic summer for us at Trimedia and is a great indication of the type and quality of client that we’re attracting.

“The other great thing about this is that it was through a referral from the Union. Our non-affiliation with any one agency means we’ve got close working relationships with a number of Scotland’s top ad agencies. There’s a real mutual respect there.”

Trimedia has also been retained by the Scottish Dairy Marketing Company to work on its ‘White Stuff’ campaign. The consultancy has been contracted for another three years and will continue to work alongside ad agency Merle.

The wins mark the latest in a series of successes for Trimedia, which have included winning the John Lewis PR account earlier in the year.
