Hookson has won the contract to design the Scottish Ambulance Service annual report after an eight-way pitch.

The agency was selected following a rigorous pitch process, which saw the original pitch-list of eight narrowed to a shortlist of four, believed to be Graphic Partners, D8, Elmwood and Hookson.

The report will be published in September.

“I invited eight companies in and it was really difficult,” said Robert Panton, secretary to the board of the Scottish Ambulance Service. “They were all very good but I felt I could work well with Hookson, and the idea they came up with just clicked with me.”

June Carroll, account manager at Hookson, added: “The Scottish Ambulance Service report is a great one to have. It’s always been on the radar of creative awards, and it’s great to work with a client that’s interested in visually-challenging things.”

Last year’s report was designed by Elmwood.
