RAM appoints Morley as new chairman

Paul Morley, the former chairman and chief executive of McCann Erickson Central, has been appointed chairman of Harrogate-based media group RAM. The news follows current chairman Lawrence Nixon’s decision to retire.

Morley, who was a director of the McCann Erickson Worldgroup, joins as the agency celebrates its tenth year in business. Speaking of his new role, Morley said: “I always intended, when I retired from my full time positions at McCann Erickson, that I would use my experience to help a young and ambitious business to achieve its objectives. But it had to be the right business.”

Commenting on the appointment, chief executive of RAM, Philip Nixon, stated: “In Paul Morley, we have secured the services of one of the most experienced and respected individuals in the world of marketing communications.”
