A new car magazine has been launched into the market, billed as the “first quality Scottish car magazine, written by Scots for Scots.”

THECARMAG, a glossy, 100-page, monthly magazine is the creation of McMedia Scotland and is edited by Dundee-based motoring journalist Jim McGill.

McGill has contributed to numerous Scottish publications as well as many industry titles across the UK during his 20-year journalistic career.

Speaking at the launch of the first edition of THECARMAG, Jim McGill said: "Scotland is full of motoring enthusiasts and I have felt for many years there was a need for a Scottish voice alongside the numerous British publications.

A number of Scottish motorsport personalities will be writing monthly columns for THECARMAG. Already signed are Le Mans winner and Formula One driver Allan McNish, double British Touring Car champion and Jaguar/Volvo dealer John Cleland, as well as current BTCC leader Anthony Reid from Glasgow.
