Saville at home in Manchester
Influential graphic designer Peter Saville has launched a collection of eight different works to be displayed on billboards throughout Manchester to promote his latest exhibition.
At Home shows images that inspired Saville throughout his youth, when he was both living and working in Manchester. The billboards coincide with the Peter Saville Show, a major retrospective, to be hosted by Urbis, from January 23 to April 18.
Commenting on the work, Saville said: “At Home is a biographical collection of my inspiration and influence – the objects and materials that inspired me while I was living and working in Manchester ... before I have to adapt anything into a design, I have to be inspired by things.”
