The Herald’s Glasgow-based media sales team is currently undergoing a restructure, which will see the appointment of a new agency sales team and agency sales manager.

Though details were vague at time of going to press, Stephen Tait, the newly appointed group advertisement director, confirmed that the sales force is being restructured.

He said: “We are looking to appoint an agency team and we are looking to recruit an agency sales manager.”

Tait also confirmed that the newpaper’s Edinburgh-based sales office has been folded into the Glasgow operation, but declined to comment on whether the three staff at the Edinburgh office will be moving to Glasgow to maintain their positions.

He said: “We’re relocating the Edinburgh office to include them in the Glasgow sales operation in order to improve communications.”
