South West Food & Drink, the trade organisation supported by the region\'s Regional Development Agency, has outsourced its public relations contract to Bristol-based, BCLO PR. The firm has charged the agency with promoting its existing role, as well as its vision for the future.

BCLO PR will begin with a programme of high profile press briefings with the leading grocery and food manufacturing publications. This will be followed by a series of regional events that will help to push the South West of England as the region of excellence for food and drink and help to create a sustainable regional food and drink supply chain.

South West Food & Drink\'s managing director, Richard Hunter commented, \"The BCLO team really impressed us with their knowledge of the food industry and proven track record within this sector. They have a strategic approach to communication, and rather than just responding to our brief they have challenged our thinking and added real value above and beyond the campaign brief.\"

The account sits alongside other food and drink clients in BCLO\'s client base including, Nutricia, The Mango Association and The British Asparagus Association.
