Food giant Heinz has appointed Leeds-based Swamp as its key new media agency to work on projects such as heinz.co.uk, Heinz Direct and separate Salad Cream and ketchup briefs.

Although Swamp itself is a relatively new agency, the directors relationship with Heinz goes back to 1997, when they first worked with the firm whilst at Brand New Media. Since then they have produced numerous online projects for the client, including the much lauded Salad Cream website.

“Heinz has a long-standing relationship with the team that is now Swamp,” commented Peter Ebsworth, marketing manager at Heinz, “and this new relationship is the direct result of the fact that we are impressed not only by their creative output but also by their strategic analysis of how customers interact with our brands.”

Simon Wadsworth, Swamp CEO, added, “Heinz is now committed to activity that will once again mean it is at the forefront of customer relationship technology, whilst also using new media to strengthen its direct marketing vehicles.”

Swamp’s other clients include Tiscali, Camelot Theme Parks and UCI Cinemas.
