Recruiters to be honoured by new awards scheme

Casey: set to heada up this year\'s Cream panel

Adline, The Drum and the Northern Recruitment Society have joined forces to launch a brand new awards event that aims to identify the very best in the recruitment sector.

The Recruitment Business Awards will take place in Manchester during September and will provide a platform for recruitment consultancies and recruitment advertising agencies to promote their work and raise the profile of the recruitment sector.

Forms have now been mailed to recruitment consultancies and agencies across England and Scotland and the deadline for work to be entered is 18 July.

The gala awards ceremony will take place on 17 September.

Also, on the events front, the judging panel for The Cream Awards 2003 has now been finalised and will be chaired by Ben Casey, founder of The Chase in Manchester.

Joining Casey on the panel will be Bruce Duckworth of DFGW in London, Billy Mawhinney of JWT, Gareth Howells of Edinburgh-based Newhaven, creative consultant Will Atkinson and Danny Brooke-Taylor of Manchester’s BDH/TBWA.

The gala awards event will take place on Wednesday 5 November at the NEC in Birmingham.

Also the deadline for The Roses Design Awards is now almost upon us, but there is just time to get late entries into the competition.

The prestigious awards event takes place on 9 October at the Palace Hotel in Manchester and all entries to the scheme must be received by 11 July.
