ScottishPower has kicked off a review of its below-the-line marketing activity, and is currently scouting Scottish agencies for the tender process.

The account is currently with Edinburgh-based MA DDB, who will be asked to re-pitch for the business around July. The ScottishPower media account, currently held by Starcom Motive, is also due to be reviewed in the coming months.

Lynsey Nisbitt, high value marketing manager at ScottishPower, said: “In ScottishPower we look to review our agencies on a two-three year basis. MA DDB have been with us for about two years now and we just decided to have a look at what’s out there. This is no reflection on MA DDB’s performance over the last two years.”

The above-the-line advertising account is handled by Glasgow’s The Bridge, and is not affected by the current review.

Both media and below the line reviews are currently at an early stage and will be completed by the end of July.
