Unique Communications Group, the group with Precise and Media Sales Network under its umbrella, has secured a sponsorship deal believed to be worth £250,000 for the British Comedy Awards.

Telecomms provider One.Tel will now be recognised as the official sponsor. The event, which regularly attracts a TV audience in the region of eight million, is owned and produced by UCG and will be hosted this year by Jonathan Ross.

Cristel Lee Leed, head of marketing for One.Tel, said: “The decision to sponsor the British Comedy Awards was a simple one. It clearly strengthens our brand to be seen to sponsor a nationally televised event which is fast becoming a British institution.”
