Brazilian drink brand Skol Beats is giving lucky drinkers their very own voice-activated smart speakers. Developed by creative agency Wieden+Kennedy São Paulo and production company MediaMonks, the 'Smart Beats' use artificial intelligence, voice recognition and integrated speakers to act as a Skol Beats bottle-shaped personalized party planner.

Alexandre Costa, marketing manager, Skol Beats: “Sometimes the weekend can get a bit repetitive – the same music, same people, same party. Smart Beats makes it that little bit easier to live new experiences and have those incredible night-out moments.”

Alex Fittipaldi, partner and creative director, MediaMonks São Paulo: “People can ask the connected device to invite their friends, switch the beat and even look up drink recipes. Smart Beats will also give genre-specific event recommendations and order an Uber to get there. If you’re not sure what to wear, it will check the weather and let you know if you need that extra layer. Partying at home? Ask Smart Beats to play music for ‘dança da cadeira’ (musical chairs), or more importantly, for another round of beers to be ordered.”

Because 'Smart Beats' is designed to take the sameness away from nightlife, the party planner also gives options beyond what’s expected – inviting the user to enjoy the night in an unusual way. Brazilian partiers can register enter a competition for one of the limited edition Smart Beats.
