Donate Life America: advert-body-1 by Leo Burnett Chicago
- Location:
According to organ donation nonprofit Donate Life America, 95 percent of Americans support organ donation - but only 53 percent are actually registered. To encourage people to sign up to be organ donors, Donate Life enlisted the help of Leo Burnett Chicago to create a campaign that would explain to people just how many lives they can save and help by registering. The result is an online effort called 'Your Name Saves' that uses a person's name to show how his or her organs could potentially help different people. For example, if someone types in that their name is in “Elizabeth Williams” on the website, Donate Life then shows how people named “Eli,” “Li,” “Liz,” “Eliza,” “Abe,” “Beth,” “Will,” “Lia,” “Liam,” and “William" could all be helped via Elizabeth's organs. By syncing with Facebook, people can also see how their organs could potentially help their family and friends. The aim of the campaign is to show people that one person can save up to eight lives through organ donation, restore sight to two people through cornea donation, and heal up to 75 people through tissue donation.
