Adobe has launched a campaign created by GS&P ahead of the Super Bowl that targets marketers called 'The Gambler.' In the spot, a nervous businessman and a gambler sitting in a dive bar watching the Super Bowl strike up conversation. Assuming he’s betting on the big game, the gambler asks the businessman - who is a CMO - how much he is in for. After the CMO says $4 million, the gambler is shocked. The CMO goes on to say how he should have 'looked at the data' before going all-in right before his cream cheese ad finally airs. By the looks of others watching at the bar, the commercial is absolutely terrible. The humorous ad, which will run during shows including Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Saturday Night Live, and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, is meant to show marketers that it's important to study data before throwing large amounts of money at a campaign.
