Hurricane Irma’s waves of devastation were felt across every corner of Florida. The resiliency of the Floridian spirit became the inspiration for the 'Florida Shines Brighter' campaign, and Ecotourism Florida, an advocacy organization promoting nature-based travel throughout the state, became the catalyst.

With a mission to motivate residents, businesses and communities to “shine on,” the campaign promotes Floridian pride, recovery and unity. The common goal? Helping restore and protect the state’s natural beauty following this tragedy. To be a part of the 'Florida Shines Brighter' movement, residents, visitors and others from around the country can donate to the campaign’s GoFundMe page. All proceeds will go to the Florida Conservation Group to restore essential natural and coastal areas throughout the state affected by Irma.
