Nicolas Roope is a London-based cross-disciplinary creative entrepreneur behind Poke, Hulger, Plumen, Antirom and the Lovie Awards.

He studied at Liverpool John Moores University in the early 90s and spent a year working as a designer at CHBi before going on to co-found Antirom in 1996.

In 1999 Roope moved to Oven Digital becoming its executive creative director during his two year tenure, in 2001 along with Iain Tait and Monkey Kingdom Television Roope founded Noddingdog with an aim to develop and monetise online communities formed around broadcast television properties.

A year on he developed his current venture Hulger/Plumen building the business from its handmade prototype (pokia) in 2002 to the design, manufacturing and marketing of a unique range of telephones and accessories and now the Plumen 001.
