Michael Docherty is CRUK’s digital, insight and portfolio marketing director and has been with the charity since late 2007.
In 2014 he helped drive the transformation of the group’s website to make it responsive, social, open and user-centric. He also helped engage people through the brand’s #nomakeupselfie initiative, which raised over £8m in just a few days.
He says a particular highlight of 2015 was delivering the Annual Torch Digital Humanities lecture at the University of Oxford where he discussed fundraising and digital.
Prior to CRUK, Docherty was a group marketing manager at Telstra, Australia’s leading communications company, and has held various product and brand marketing roles at Yahoo and Hutchison Telecoms.
