English designer Jon Hicks is managing director of HicksDesign.
Hicks left school at 16 and studied a BTEC ND in technical illustration for two years followed by a HND in wildlife illustration. He then worked as a designer at Coventry City Council before going solo in 2002.
Since then he has worked on several high profile projects – most notably rendering the Firefox logo into its final form, based on a concept from Daniel Burka and a sketch from Stephen Desroches.
He recently completed new icon set for the online music streaming application Spotify and wrote and illustrated ‘The Icon Handbook’.
