Ian graduated from Leeds School of Art in 1983 with a first class degree in graphic design.
In his early years as a designer, he was responsible for the Levi’s 501 identity, Tag Heuer’s watch packaging and the launch identity for the Audi 80, amongst others.
In 1990 he co-founded design agency Jones Knowles Ritchie (JKR), and since then, he has been responsible for shaping the appearance of consumer packaged goods found in households around the world, working with businesses such as ABInBev, Mars, PepsiCo and Unilever.
