An art school graduate who now runs a tech company, Daniel Kirby has only ever worked at startups.

He established Techdept in 2004, working as an innovation lab for brands like Microsoft, NBC Universal, and BBC Children In Need.

In the last 12 months he has organised The Tech Off event, featuring a wide range industry speakers, helped launch the Marketing Technology Association and, in his own words, “gone from a pub cellar to Cannes Lions.”
