Named number one in The Drum’s Mobile Top 50 2015, Ben Phillips has spent over a decade in the mobile space working across all disciplines of the sector’s ecosystem.

Phillips joined MediaCom as global head of mobile in 2013 to provide leadership for the agency’s specialist mobile divisions across the UK, Germany, Scandinavia, Singapore and India.

Previously commercial director at mobile demand-side platform Adloqi, he has also held posts at mobile and ad tech provider Velti and customer engagement firm MoMac, as well as mobile payment and messaging company MindMatics.

He credits his “mentors” Mike Yershon (Carat) and Mike Walsh (Tomorrow), for inspiring his career and providing a “timeless understanding of how brands and agencies function.”

MediaCom was named Global Agency of the Year at the M&M Awards 2015 and Phillips’ team took home the prize for Best Use of Mobile for its ‘Superiority Complex’ work for Sony.
