Deputy chairman

Alannah Weston joined Selfridges as creative director in 2004, overseeing 6000 staff, and was named deputy chairman of the department store’s parent company Selfridges Group in January 2014.

Weston now provides strategic leadership and creative counsel across the Selfridges Group international stores, which include Brown Thomas in Ireland, De Bijenkorf in the Netherlands, Holt Renfrew in Canada, and Selfridges in the UK.

Since joining Selfridges, Weston has been given credit for the global department store’s new-found verve and panache.

Her major achievements include the opening of The Shoe Galleries, the largest shoe department in the world, a project that reportedly took three years to plan.
