Man photobombs ITV News broadcast outside Westminster carrying a dead squirrel in nuts encounter
An ITV reporter was earlier today upstaged by a man carrying a dead squirrel during a live broadcast outside Westminster.
On Wednesday afternoon an unidentified man emerged from behind ITV reporter Romilly Weeks during a live broadcast outside Westminster discussing the Chilcot inquiry into the Iraq War
While Weeks continued the report obliviously, the dead squirrel stole the scene as it was carried by the tail past the camera. It is unclear whether the dead squirrel’s appearance on live TV was supposed to coincide with #NationalSquirrelAppreciationDay.
Reporter Romilly Weeks took to Twitter to reflect on the oddity.

Apparently it's squirrel appreciation day. Would have thought they'd prefer to be appreciated alive #SquirrelAppreciationDay

Perhaps overshadowing SquirrelGate is an incident in September where Sky Sports News reporter Alan Irwin was assaulted with a blue dildo during a live broadcast outside an Everton training complex.
