The British National Party (BNP) has shown just how patriotic it is by reminding its followers to take part in the Remembrance Day moment’s silence, a day after the event occurred.

The far-right party issued the tweet (pictured) early on Wednesday morning, which said: “Remember to observe the #TwoMinutesSilence at 11 a.m. today. Others may forget but we remember. Please RT.”

Ironically, the BNP forgot to remember Remembrance Day, a day dedicated to appreciating the sacrifice offered by the armed forces. The tweet remained on the party’s account for four hours according to the Independent.

The individual running the account later blamed technology for the gaffe.

This year's most notable Remembrance Day gaffe was an unfortunate outdoor ad juxtaposition from Primesight which accidentally placed a British Legion appeal to help bereaved families next to an army recruitment poster.
