Messaging app WeChat promises to find Mark Zuckerberg ‘real friends’ in a series of ads poking fun at the Facebook founder.

The ads, created by The Jupiter Drawing Room, show an actor posing as Zuckerberg visiting a psychiatrist, saying "I invented the social network, and now my friends—they're un-friending me."

A further ad is aimed at Facebook lawyers, promoting the sticker function available in the messaging app.

The company said: "We're putting celebrities and public figures on the psychiatrist's coach and having a quirky, Freudian doctor psychoanalyse them. His solution to their problems? WeChat's amazing feature set. The campaign is talkable, controversial, and it emphasises the brand's positioning -- showing that WeChat is 'More Social' and 'More Fun' than its competitors."
