The text of Kendra Eash's "This Is a Generic Brand Video," originally published by McSweeney's, has been set to stock video clips by Dissolve to create this amazing (but so realistic that it’s fairly depressing) video.

People of different ethnicities, shots of the environment and speeded-up images of cars at night all featuring in this groin-kick to the advertising industry.

But are we the only one to notice a lack of cute animals? I mean, really. How can you advertise a brand without a singing cat?
