Jaffa Cakes looks to reduce counterfeiting with 12 sided cake
McVitie’s brand Jaffa Cakes has jumped on the dodecagon bandwagon, by joking that it too is set to go 12 sided to stop counterfeiting. This comes as the Royal Mint announces that the pound coin will go 12 sided by 2017, saying “its technology is no longer suitable for a coin of its value, leaving it vulnerable to counterfeiting.”But with a school having banned triangular flapjacks last year for being dangerous, we think Jaffa Cakes should go back to being circular sharpish…or risk the wrath of parents.
