Betfair seems to be cooking up some mischief of its own in its marketing activity at Cheltenham festival this year, taking a cheeky pop at rival Paddy Power. And it looks as though there are some Made in Chelsea stars joining in the fun. Although there has been no official announcement that the brand has recruited any brand ambassadors from the show, Spencer Matthews and Rosie Fortescue from Made in Chelsea, have been spotted at the festival sporting Betfair scarves and standing in front of a Betfair billboard, and tweeting and posting selfies at the Betfair Twitter account (see below). The ad, which The Drum believes to be running just at the Cheltenham festival, carries the strapline ‘Paddy Power Bets at Betfair’. Underneath this there is a line saying ‘Meet Mr Patrick Power in Disguise, a Betfair customer’. To save readers any confusion The Drum has discovered that the betting company actually has six customers called Patrick Power, with three called William Hill and even one called Victor Chandler!
