Birdseye creates Mashtags – social media potato shapes

Social media managers have been pondering the question for years: what can I eat that shows off my love for social media? Well, Birdseye has the answer with Mashtags: frozen potato chips in social media shapes.

In the style of Birdseye Alphabites (remember them?) Mashtags come in five shapes: hashtags, the @ symbol, an asterisk and two emoticons (a heart and a smiley face).

Available from next month in Asda, Sainsbury’s and Tesco, we’re predicting social media fans will be buying a packet of these, a packet on Alphabites and making potato-ey tweets. No? Just us?
