A metal box which doubled as a Velociraptor cage during Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park has reappeared on eBay inviting offers in excess of £60k.

Described as ‘100 per cent authentic’ and containing its own ‘full-size raptor!!!’ the miscellaneous piece of movie memorabilia has attracted 150 bids from deep-ticketed movie buffs.

The heavy-duty cage is being flogged by Theme Park Connection who said in their listing: “In this auction you are bidding on one of the most recognizable props from Steven Spielberg's 1993 worldwide hit, Jurassic Park!

“This is the full size animal transport cage crate featured in the terrifying opening scene of the classic blockbuster movie! This is the crate that housed the Velociraptor that attacked and killed the ill-fated "Gate Keeper" as Jurassic Park's Game Warden and workers attempted to move the Raptor into its permanent pen.”

Bidding closes on 5 February.
