Solihull Police report stolen ring on Twitter, insisting Gollum is not the owner
Solihull Police has turned to Twitter to help find the owner of a precious ring, presumed stolen, although Gollum need not apply.Again proving that the police can have personality on Twitter – Surrey Police scooped the Grand Prix at the 2013 Social Buzz Awards – the light-hearted nod to the ring-addicted character from The Hobbit led to over 200 retweets: far more engagement than a regular police tweet would receive.
