100/1 odds of Tim Cook taking over at Microsoft as Ladbrokes starts taking bets
Less than a week after Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer announced he was retiring, Ladbrokes started taking bets on his replacement.
Appleās Tim Cook is the most unlikely choice, at 100/1, as is Sir Jony Ive and Twitter founder Jack Dorsey, both at 40/1.
Unsurprisingly the safer bets are all either current or former Microsoft executives.
The favourite is current Nokia CEO Stephen Elop at 5/1. Current Microsoft COO, Kevin Turner, has come in at 6/1.
It seems doubtful that Microsoft chairman Bill Gates will return to lead the company, with Ladbrokes only giving him a 50/1 shot.
