The Wax Quarter Unites DJ’s, producers, dance music lovers & record collectors alike, over a shared love of underground grooves and exclusive record drops. The platform is playful, slightly bizarre, but approachable for anyone. This informed my colour palette, which is gender inclusive and fun, but with a touch of weird. My strategy informed the visual route, which identified a huge illustrative visual gap in the market. Adrian Frutiger’s Univers (used in underground networks across the globe) references the nature of the music my platform is promoting. Underground type for underground music.

I’m a tenacious, open minded creative. Eclectic by nature I enjoy exploring all facets of design, hunting for insights from a diverse range of sources; new sounds, sights, sensations; all of which inspire my own ideas. Thanks to live briefs from the likes of Droga5, Koto and Checkland Kindleysides, I have focused on developing my motion and branding skills to bring insights to life and re-energise a client’s look and feel. Since the start of level 6 I have reinforced my love for print, working on several physical submissions (Including ISTD). This resulted in many lost hours drooling over GF Smith’s stock catalogue. Alongside this, I have taken up art direction for the Bristol based band Haal as well as DJ & producer Benson Streaker. Design should be fun, so I strive to bring the right balance of professionalism and laughter. Importantly, I’m no stranger to knuckling down and pushing a project from good to glorious.
