I created an awareness campaign about everyday phrases that are said to dismiss mental health. The problem with these phrases is that they do more harm than good. Using "Suck it up" or "Snap out of it" disregards someone's wellbeing. Mental health isn't as easy to just "snap out of it". I created a series of posters by using physical objects that visualize what those phrases mean in a fun and humorous way. This is to make the audience understand that these sentences are in fact, illogical. Let's open up a conversation about how we are feeling and let's start supporting our wellbeing!

I am a 24-year-old creative worker who has a passion for creating visual solutions for companies such as branding, advertising, and marketing. I also have a big passion for photography and filming. I have recently finished my Bachelor's degree (predicted 1st) in Art Direction: Creative and Cultural Industries with Honours. Working on client briefs and personal projects throughout this degree made me gain knowledge in branding, project management, design, concept creation, and advertising. Last year I got an internship as Social Media Manager for UDA, a company that helps young people develop a positive mindset through activities. I helped them increase their brand purpose and brand values through their social channels while also increasing their engagement. I am ambitious, hard-working, and constantly learning new skills and experiences to advance as a creative.
