The COVID-19 pandemic has gripped the world and completely upended 2020

People are either bulk buying toilet rolls or confused about why they can’t go to the pub.

At this moment it’s hard to know how to act as an individual – let alone as a brand on social media. There are as many people making memes about COVID-19 as there are people imploring each other to stay safe and stop infecting the elderly.

As we enter this period of uncertainty it’s clear that we need to be more and more mindful of the ways that we communicate.

At Wilderness Agency we’ve been working hard to support our clients remotely over the last few weeks. We’ve seen a huge shift in the tone of communication needed by brands on social and an increased focus on the power of social as a means to engage and inform.

Jamie Maple, our Strategy Director, has created this handy guide for brands considering how best to tackle their social media comms in this difficult and challenging time.
