ODEON: There’s more to cinema than just film
ODEON asked us to review their current retail proposition and recommend new and exciting ways that would reposition them as the cinema of choice.
Finding the sweet spot
With retail as the focus, we carried out a thorough review of ODEON’s position in the market, rationalised their retail communications and identified one area of single focus that ODEON could become famous for: Combos.
We then set to work redesigning all elements of their combo communications. We simplified the proposition, introduced a more straightforward hierarchy and an improved, single-minded pricing communication. We also reshot all photography to make it more appetising and inspirational. The overall result is a suite of comms that is consistent, clearer, more engaging, fits with the brand and is above all, ownable.
Pop goes the popcorn
As a secondary part to the project we also redesigned ODEON’s popcorn packaging. With cues from the foodie scene, we used photography to hint at popcorn being the healthier cinema snack, and added a playful tone of voice.
